>When Meaghan first reached out to see if I was available for her wedding the weekend of the Stowe Balloon Festival I was so excited! I recently had gone to the festival to watch them launch the balloons at sunrise and it was so perfect and magical. All I could imagine was a sunrise session with clients, and it was fate with Meaghan and Ryan! It’s like I manifested it! (Ok maybe not but it definitely seemed meant to be!)
Meaghan and Ryan’s wedding day itself was amazing. It started off with some drizzles which had the couple making the tough choice of where to have their ceremony. However, it didn’t stop this couple from keeping the wedding day light-hearted and full of laughter…. Starting off with a fake bride first look with the grooms brother dressed in a wedding dress!
Due to the early morning rain, the bride and groom decided last minute to move the ceremony indoors to the atrium at Stoweflake Resort. A stunning skylight sun spilled onto them as they said their vows and the couple also threw in some choreographed and unexpected moves that kept everyone smiling. Shortly after the ceremony, the skies cleared, the sun came out, and the day turned out to be gorgeous! With the sun setting and hot air balloons launching into the sky above their tent, they danced the night away.
The photos didn’t stop on their wedding day. It didn’t take a lot of convincing but I talked Meaghan and Ryan into getting up for a sunrise session the morning after their wedding. The resulting images were magic. One of which even made the cover of Stowe Weddings Magazine. Scroll to the bottom to see all the early morning sunrise light and really fun balloon portraits of the bride and groom.
About Meaghan and Ryan:
They met junior year of college, and met through mutual friends! With the help of a common friend, Quentin, they were introduced, and the rest is history! Meaghan and Ryan are still friends with Quentin who was one of Ryan’s groomsmen and his wife as one of Meaghan’s best friends and one of her bridesmaids! The couple ended up getting married two weeks after Meaghan and Ryan.
