The Trapp Family Lodge is on top of the beautiful rolling hills of Stowe, Vermont. Founded by the family that inspired The Sound of Music, this venue is a magical place that gave the Fortunati wedding a peaceful and extraordinary feel.
This wedding is taking me back to a spectacular June day that called for rain. We were a bit worried when even on the day-of the forecast looked bleak. But like they say, if you don’t like the weather in Vermont just wait a minute. Although it sprinkled during our family shots prior to the wedding it worked out perfectly as we got some adorable shots of Chelsea with her umbrella. And just before the ceremony started the rain abated and left us with an amazingly cloudy and moody sky that was perfect.
With it being a small wedding, it was quiet as the couple traded vows, Adam tearing up as he professed his love for Chelsea. With the emotion of the couple and the miraculous landscape, you could not help but get caught up in the moment of it.
After the ceremony Chelsea, Adam, and I roamed the beautiful grounds of the Trapp Family Lodge taking their couple portraits. From low rock walls to the most amazing sweeping views, these two were blessed with a backdrop just as extraordinary as the two of them.
